For those of you who actually read this blog, or for those who just stumble across it accidentally,
I ask you to please pray for the families of the two LDS missionaries that died this week in Donna, Texas.
One of those missionaries was my friend, Elder Trevor Strong.
Please pray for their families and our friends.
One thing about our LDS faith, is we believe those serving our Heavenly Father will be exalted for their service.
We believe in The Plan of Salvation also known as The Plan of Happiness.
We believe in life after death.
We believe that if we keep The Commandments, we can be joined with our families and loved ones again.
At this time of great sorrow, we rejoice knowing Trevor is in the best place one could possibly be, in the arms of our Savior.
Trevor was valiantly doing the work of our Father and trying to spread the knowledge and truth that is the gospel. If you would like to learn more or understand our religion better, please go here.
If you would like to read a great article about what happened go here.
Trevor passed through the veil doing the work he loved, serving the people he loved.
Trevor, you are so loved by all of us back here!
From the hymn Come, Come Ye Saints
this is my favorite verse:
And should we die before our journey's through,
Happy day! All is well!
We then are free from toil and sorrow, too;
With the just we shall dwell!
But if our lives are spared again
To see the Saints their rest obtain,
Oh, how we'll make this chorus swell –
All is well! All is well!
Happy day! All is well!
We then are free from toil and sorrow, too;
With the just we shall dwell!
But if our lives are spared again
To see the Saints their rest obtain,
Oh, how we'll make this chorus swell –
All is well! All is well!
We'll miss you Trevor,
God be with you til we meet again!
P.S. Stacia and Kristen both shared wonderful words on how we are all feeling. I especially love this quote:
"To a righteous person, birth into the spirit world is a glorious privilege and blessing. The greatest spirits in the family of the Father have not usually been permitted to tarry longer in the flesh than to perform a certain mission. They are then called to the world of spirit where the field is greater and the workers fewer." Heber Q. Hale
