So this week I made a pretty bold decision and stuck with it.
Which is very surprising because I am seriously the most indecisive person ever.
Really. I spend at least 5 minutes in the cereal aisle every time I grocery shop.
I feel pretty good about my choice, and was surprised to find that I felt really happy the next day.
But today I'm second guessing, a temporary moment of weakness I'm sure, when I saw this quote on the wall that couldn't be more perfect.
I'm a huge English nerd, a sucker for a great read.
Pride and Prejudice is one of those books I shamelessly admit to have reading.
This is a what Elizabeth Bennett says to Mr. Darcy at one point in the book:
"Keep your breath to cool your porridge, and I shall keep mine to swell my song."
In the literal sense, she is saying "Let's not waste our breath and just carry on.."
But I love the double meaning that can be taken from this quote.
It's like she is saying save your breath for something as dull as cooling your morning oatmeal
and I am going to use mine for something beautiful and useful.
So that is exactly what I am going to do.
I am going to finish this semester, and carry on working towards my goals and dreams.
What else can one do?
