The Choice.

Hello everyone!

I had an awesome weekend! What about you?

Between spectating a volleyball tournament, attending a non-English speaking Chinese New Years celebration (Fireworks included!) and watching the cheesiest movie ever with great friends,

I am ready for this week!

But probably the best part of my weekend was when I got to press a submit button on my computer.

You might already know, but I guess I will officially announce my decision to serve an LDS mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints!

I got to turn my papers over to my bishop on Saturday, spoke with him Sunday, and in one week my Stake President will be sending them to church headquarters in Salt Lake City!

This is not a decision i have made lightly. I am not going because I am not married. I am not going because a lot of my friends have also chosen to serve....

I decided to go because I want to serve the Lord. I want to serve his children more than anything,

I want them to know that this is the true and restored church.

This gospel has brought so much happiness into my life!
It has taught me that we are all children of God, part of one big family.
That families are eternal and can be together forever.
That we are all known individually and will never be alone.
And through repentance and the sacrifice of His son, Christ, we can live with Him again.

I cannot wait to receive my call! Just about 3 short weeks and I'll know where I am fortunate enough to serve!

Thanks to all of you who have supported me and helped me make this decision!
Thanks to Ashley Hillam Young for taking some great pictures of me for my papers!
Check them out here!

Love, Jess
