Hello world!
Guess what?
I'm now....22!
I haven't decided if I like 22 or not yet.
But what I have decided is that this year is gonna be great!
I'd be lying if I said something great wasn't going to happen.
My birthday was a blast even though it was at the start of dead week here at school.
Finals are due next week... (insert death glare and roll of the eyes here)
So I thought I would remember 2 weeks ago, when things were simpler ;)
THE DINNER.
It was a dark and dreary night....
Just kidding. It was a Sunday and I had the lights off...
Ah, that's better.
We were going for an... eclectic look.
The guest of honor had yet to arrive so we kept busy with extra preparations.
Chanae wrote in her journal....
Hali and Laura attempted to fix a chair.. with a hammer...
Laura was the brains of the operation apparently.
Oh how she loves those sweats..... ;)
Kailey is a beast shark in the kitchen.
You can't touch her bread sticks!
And suddenly... the doorbell rang!
This is Carlos.
This is how Carlos looks when I told him there was nothing to eat but salad because I burned all the food!
I've never seen a kid be so happy to eat salad.
Come to think of it.... I don't think Carlos even ate any salad!
This is me being a good hostess and texting.
Martha Stewart would be proud....
But the food wasn't burned and I threw my phone onto some char and the gang slowly rolled in and sat in their many variations of chairs.
And we ate!
I don't know why I didn't take any pictures of the food....
but it was good.
Homemade Italian spaghetti sauce included.
In fact, it was so good that Hali accepted a dare to finish the last scoop for... a whopping $1.25.
And it was worth it.
P.S. We still haven't paid her! Ha ha
